History:
Huizen is a former fishing village with a rich history in a beautiful, scenic region "Het Gooi"
There are many possiblities for walks or cycle trips in the surrounding "polders", heathlands and woods. Various signposted routes are available. Moreover you can go sailing on the big lake or go golfing. The city of Amsterdam is at 25 kilometers distance and is easily reached by bus/train.
